About the competition
We're thrilled to host The Search for the Happiest Pet on Earth, celebrating the joy and happiness pets bring into our lives!
Happy pets not only lead healthier, more fulfilling lives but also uplift the humans around them! Whether it’s a wagging tail, a content purr, or a playful leap, happy pets can turn any bad day around. They inspire us to live in the moment, find joy in the little things, and spread love without expecting anything in return. Our Search for the Happiest Pet on Earth is all about celebrating those moments of pure joy, whether through a hilarious video of their antics or a touching story of their journey.

How to enter
To enter, participants must be at least 21 years old at the time of the submission. Each entrant can enter up to three separate submissions, for three different pets, and entries must include:
Pet photo or video: Submit a photo or video capturing your pet at their happiest. We’re talking waggle butts, snuggle sessions, and zoomies galore! (FYI, photos should be in JPG/JPEG/PNG format, and please keep your images under 1MB and videos under 5MB and under 2 minutes long).
Story: Tell us (in 150 words or less) why your pet should be crowned the World’s Happiest Pet, including any heartwarming anecdotes or background information about your pet and what makes them happy!

We’re all about rewarding amazing pets and the love they bring into our lives, and who better to crown the winner than our panel of expert pet-loving judges? Our panel includes:
Angela Laws - Head of PR, Charity & Pet Advocacy
In her role at TrustedHousesitters, Angela champions and advocates for pet health and happiness day in, and day out. Angela is a pet lover in every sense of the word, with over 200 house sits to her name and no less than 14 years of experience in caring for all kinds of animals - from dogs and cats to chickens, horses and pigs!
Jennifer Angelucci - President and CEO of Paws Crossed
Jennifer heads up Paws Crossed, an animal rescue on a mission to "Rescue One By One Until There Are None”. Since its inception in 2015, Paws Crossed has rescued over 6,500 pets and provided life-saving programs for the local community. Her love of animals and ‘all-in’ business sense make her a positive and productive President and CEO.
Pete Wedderburn - Veterinarian
Pete, ‘Ireland's best-known Veterinary Surgeon', runs a busy veterinary practice in Bray, Ireland, but has also cultivated a highly successful media career in the UK. Pete regularly contributes to local and national radio and presents on primetime television. He is also a prolific writer on various animal topics and a four-time published author.
Judging criteria
Our panel of judges will choose the Happiest Pet winners based on the following:
- Joyful Expression: The undeniable joy and happiness of your pet in the photo/video.
- Story Impact: The heartwarming and compelling nature of your happy pet’s story.
- Creativity: The unique and creative ways your pet’s happiness is displayed.
- Overall Well-being: Visible evidence of your pet’s overall good health and well-being.
