An update from Mathew Prior, CEO of TrustedHousesitters

Hi all,

As the situation around coronavirus continues to evolve, I want to take a moment to thank you for your continued support. We know the past few months have been difficult, but as parts of the world begin to reopen and we start to see a safe and responsible return to travel, we — like you — hope that an end to the crisis, and a return to the lifestyle we know and love, won’t be too far behind.

After six long months of working from home, our team are looking forward to gradually returning to the office this month. While things are different, we’re looking towards the future and want to continue doing everything we can to support you during this time. With this in mind, I’d like to share some of what we at Team Trusted have been working on.

While we’ve helped to facilitate a number of safe and successful sits over the last few months, we know you might have some reservations about welcoming a sitter right now. So, we thought it would be helpful to share some recent experiences from some of our owner members. As well as our coronavirus cleaning guide, our new guide to house sitting should cover any additional questions you might have during this time. Of course, for anything else, your Membership Services team are still on hand to help — just get in touch.

We’ve also been working to improve your user experience, and based on your feedback we’re now in the process of setting up saved searches, which will allow you to save trips and be alerted when new listings become available. We’ve also made some great improvements to the sitter profile page, meaning it’s now easier than ever to edit or update your profile.

Finally, we understand that for some, the past few months have been very isolating. So, we’re really excited to bring you our new Community Forum — an online hub for our whole community to come together, chat, and share discussions. We’re about to start trialling this with some of our members to make sure it’s the best it can be, but hope to roll this out very soon.
