Rachel & Toluwaleke looked after Jessica’s pets & home

Rachel (my sister) and Leke (her boyfriend) looked after my 3-year-old Pharaoh Hound/Jindo mix, Salryc, and my house last summer for a two-week period when I went away on vacation. Rachel is exceptionally good at handling Salryc. I’ve had issues in the past where Salryc won’t recall to anyone but me and we quickly discovered that Rachel not only has a caring disposition toward all animals but can command respect from them as well. Leke was very good about letting me know how Salryc was doing, and I got reports throughout my visit. He would sit down and play with her for a while then let her do her own thing. Her absolute favorite activity in the summer is sunbathing and Rachel and Leke accommodated that, sitting out on the porch for hours as Salryc lay in the sun and soaked up the rays. Salryc takes allergy medication 2x/day + Benadryl as needed (in pill pockets) and she ensured that was Salryc fed, watered, and had her medication daily. She goes out in the yard throughout the day and takes a 45-minute walk after work, which Rachel and Leke were very good about keeping up with. They were also great about taking photos and updating me, as I often miss my dog when I am gone. When I returned home, the house was cleaner than I left it, which surprised me in the best way. The flowers were thriving and my dog, most importantly, was well taken care of.
