Our experience
My daughter and I have done pet sits in Montana, the UK, France, British Colombia, and Portland Oregon. We have done lots of fostering of animals for our local shelter, including blind, diabetic, injured and traumatized animals.

Leah is nothing short of a "dog whisperer". We had a little Coton pup that was quite feisty and really only liked his immediate family members -- he would growl and bark at everyone else. Leah was able to win his heart to the point that every time she came over to see me, Buddy would immediately want to get in her car and go home with her for a visit. I have also observed her caring for multiple foster dogs in her home. She is adept at connecting with all varieties of dogs, no matter their size or disposition. Dogs are not the only animals she connects well with -- bunnies, guinea pigs, cats, you name it, Leah will shower it with love, but also establish and encourage healthy boundaries/habits/training efforts.
