It's our pleasure to provide this statement of confidence in the character and competence of Jess and Thierry in the context of an opportunity we understand they have to house-sit a property in the United States. Jess has been known to us for upwards of 25 years. She accompanied her parents to our home on Martinique during her time at college; we met Thierry a year or two later. We have always been impressed by the couple's honesty and sincerity as well as their ability to get along together to extract the best results from the most difficult circumstances. As you will have gathered from Jess' profile, she is the owner and general manager of a significant trading house here on the island and is known for her dynamic but caring approach to employees, clients and suppliers alike. Jess and Thierry's business has grown and diversified because of their honesty and their service attitude. Their own home is spic-and-span, shared with dogs, turtles, birds and other critters, and readily re-visited by each of their two adult sons who live off-island. During our own absences, we often placed the care of our coastal property a half-hour's drive away in their hands. Although no live-in presence was expected, their conduct in respect of this house-sitting task was exemplary: bills were paid, maintenance jobs accomplished and communication with us, the owners, pursued as necessary. We have no hesitation in recommending Jess and Thierry as caretakers of any home, for any period, in any circumstances.
