shane & Shahanah looked after Jenn’s pets & home

It is my absolute pleasure to recommend Shane. He has cared for our beloved Moose—a 107-pound Bernese Mountain Dog with a heart just as big—on multiple occasions, sometimes for several days at a time. Moose is not a small dog, nor is he particularly aware of his size. He leans with the force of a gentle bulldozer, sits on feet as if he’s a lap dog, and has a knack for nearly knocking you over when he’s in the mood for affection. Through all of this, Shane has handled him with patience, care, and an impressive ability to stay upright. Beyond just handling Moose’s enthusiastic displays of love, Shane has been incredibly responsible and reliable. He ensures Moose gets his daily medication in the morning, feeds him twice a day, keeps his water bowl full (a must, as Moose overheats easily), and maintains clean food and water dishes. He takes Moose on walks, plays with him, and makes sure he’s never left alone for too long. We’ve never had to worry when Moose is in Shane’s care—he treats him like his own and goes above and beyond to make sure he’s happy, healthy, and well cared for. If you’re looking for someone who will love and care for your dog as much as you do (and doesn’t mind a little—or a lot—of leaning), Shane is your guy.
