Claris quickly formed a strong and lovely bond with my dog, Ember. This is unique because Ember can be quite shy, stubborn, and skittish, but Claris seemed to know how to listen and understand her to create trust, boundaries, and affection in their relationship. The three of us went sailing on Claris’s boat last summer for 5 days (as featured in her profile) and Claris navigated helping Ember feel comfortable in this environment which was new to her (Ember had never been on a boat before!) with such confidence, gentleness, and grace. I have witnessed Claris’s love for and skill with animals countless times over the years. Claris is very smart, responsible, and caring. I wouldn’t hesitate for a second in trusting her with my dog and with my home. I’m confident she would make an ideal pet sitter!
