Laura Shaw is my mother, and in my experience as her daughter, I can readily offer a dependable testimony regarding her capability in effectively tending to both pets and residences. Growing up, Laura was the primary caregiver for two dogs, Ginger and Tija and two hamsters, Peppi and Rosie, all of whom she raised alongside my brother and I. Our dog Ginger required extensive attention and care due to allergies and sensitivities in which Laura was always attentive. In more recent years, she has pet sat my Husky, Nala and many of my friends pets, multiple of which have had significant behavioural issues. Laura has a gentle, patient and intuitive nature with animals. She is a natural caregiver and excels in recognizing the needs of animals and people around her. Laura has been a homeowner for over 30 years across multiple residences in North America. She is exceptionally organised, responsible and reliable, constantly upholding a clean environment and staying on top of the necessary upkeep that comes with owning a home. Additionally, she adeptly handles more specialised tasks, such as caring for houseplants. In my childhood, she instilled these skills into my brother and I, both of whom hold outstanding tenant and professional references, all thanks to her example. I highly recommend Laura for any Trusted Housesitters position due to her caring and nurturing personality, her unwavering commitment and dependability, as well as her extensive background as both a pet owner and homeowner.
