Sue Bassett is so much more than just a house-sitter! She has stayed at our house on the rural outskirts of Darwin, Australia several times and we would be thrilled if she could do it again. The chickens were fatter and healthier than when we left, and I'm pretty sure the house was a lot cleaner. Our dog Lexie loved Sue and was in the absolute best of hands - she was always so happy to see her. They were true friends. One year Sue's stay coincided with our tropical wet season and we had very heavy rainfall which resulted in some roof damage and leaking. She removed our artwork, carefully wrapped it and stored it elsewhere until our return. She also moved furniture and really minimised any of the water damage. In summary, Sue is trustworthy, organised, capable, clean and tidy, caring and thoughtful. She is actually aware of her surroundings and notices if something isn't right or working properly. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone and wish she could look after my house next month! Oh, and she's also a generally great person. With warmest recommendations, Laura Dibbs and Antony van Papenrecht
