My experience

10+ years

We had cats and dogs when my children were at home. My last dog, Twitch, the border collie, passed in 2021. I have since looked after "Puss" the cat; Bonney, the cattle dog; Tom, the Jack Russell; Roxy, the dachshund; Cairo, the Lynx

Darlene looked after my home and my 2 dogs Jack and Ruby, while I was away recently in Oct 2023. My dog Jack has a skin condition and required daily medication and monitoring for symptoms. Darlene was extremely competent and caring with my pets taking them for regular beach walks and assessing for changes with Jacks skin condition. She sent regular pics of pets and noticed when increased symptoms with skin condition occurred and checked if any treatment was required. When I returned home from holidays, I found my house to be neat and tidy, my dogs happy and healthy and some grocery staples in my fridge which was a very thoughtful gesture. I have known Darlene in a professional capacity for sometime as we both worked together at the local university. I have always found Darlene to be kind, caring and completely trustworthy. I would have no hesitation entrusting my home, doggies and car with Darlene again. I can highly recommend her as a responsible and respectful house and pet sitter.
