Hilary joined the TrustedHousesitters community in 2015 after sadly losing her beloved "Goldie" Lauer when he was 16. Since discovering house sitting and a travel lifestyle, Hilary has once again been able to fill her life with beloved pets, wonderful new friends and unforgettable experiences. To date, Hilary has completed 13 house sits in both Canada and the UK looking after many amazing pets.

Whilst sitting, I’ve had the most extraordinary experiences in communities that I’d not have done otherwise. I've found that house/pet sitting offers me the opportunity to become acquainted with a place and its people in unique and authentic ways. I really enjoy meeting people on dog walks, in towns and villages and exploring the quiet rural way of life. I've discovered out of the way places to walk dogs and have discovered hidden gems along the way, which I deeply appreciate.
