From wedding bells to worldwide travels: Dan & Nancy's story

Dan and Nancy are proud pet parents to two adorable fluffballs – Chewie, a laid-back 6-year-old Newfoundland, and Maui, their sweet 14-year-old Pom-Chi. As much as they’d love to take these two on all their travels, it’s not always possible. So, with some major milestones on the horizon, it was time for the couple to enlist the help of some trusty pet sitters…

The hunt for an alternative to boarding

Like many pet parents, Dan and Nancy initially tried boarding their furry friends when they went away. 

“Boarding was fine, but it was so expensive,” they said.

“We’ve traveled to Mexico, Hawaii (multiple times), Banff, and Taiwan, all thanks to THS. We even got engaged in Italy, got married in Kauai, and had our honeymoon in Bora Bora!”

Honestly, who wouldn’t jump at the chance to look after Chewie and Maui while their pet parents are off exploring?!

“Both are sweethearts and great with new people. Chewie is relaxed and docile, while Maui is an absolute cuddlebug!”

They sound like the ultimate duo!

As Dan and Nancy make plans for the future, we couldn’t help but wonder if they’d be adding to their family any time soon.

“Yes”, they said, “but not with doggos! We plan to have kids in the future.”
