    30 mins

Ingredients:

Pupcake Ingredients:

1/2 cup (50g) plain flour

1/2 tsp baking powder (make sure you keep this out of your dog’s reach during the baking process, as this ingredient on its own is toxic to dogs)

1/4 cup (60g) smooth peanut butter (xylitol-free)

1 medium banana, mashed

1 egg

4 tbsp water

Peanut Butter and Banana Frosting Ingredients:

1/2 (50g) cup reduced fat cream cheese

1/2 (120g) cup peanut butter

1/2 mashed banana

Method:

Step 1.

First, preheat the oven to 350°F or 180°C, wash your muffin tin, dry it, and line it with cupcake papers.

Step 2.

Sift together flour and baking powder in one bowl.

Step 3.

In a separate medium-sized bowl, stir the peanut butter, mashed banana, egg, and water until combined.

Step 4.

Stir in your flour mixture, and mix until smooth. Once it’s all smushed together, scoop into muffin pans. You can make them as small or large as you think is sensible for your pup. Remember that these muffins are meant as a rare treat, so you don’t want to give your dog too much!

Step 5.

Small cupcakes bake for about 8-10 mins, and big cupcakes for 15-20 mins. Remember to let them cool before adding the frosting and serving them up.

Step 6.

For the peanut butter and banana frosting, cream the peanut butter and cream cheese together in a medium-sized bowl.

Step 7.

Add in the mashed banana by mashing it in some more, and continue mixing for a couple of minutes until combined. Don’t worry, this isn’t meant to be as fluffy as normal buttercream as it doesn’t contain sugar.

Step 8.

Spoon your butter into a piping bag and pipe swirls, twirls, splodges (your pup’s name, whatever you fancy) onto the cooled cupcakes.

Step 9.

Serve to your salivating slobber baby!
