Ten of our favourite mystical cat names:
- Aurora - otherwise known as the Aurora Borealis or Northern Lights, many moons ago these lights were thought to be the spirits of the dead dancing across the night sky. Pretty other-worldly, eh?
- Celeste - comes from the Latin word for ‘heavenly’, because we know that being at home with your pet cat is heaven on earth.
- Circe - a sorceress from ancient Greek mythology known for changing Odysseus and his men into pigs (we know pigs are cute, but there was a clear message there!). Can you think of a better mystical cat name?
- Cosmo or Cosmos - while a cosmo cocktail isn’t that mystical in itself, Cosmos symbolises the harmonious relationship between everything in our universe, from the planets, stars and galaxies to all living beings (including our furry friends).
- Estrella - means ‘star’ in Spanish. Stars guide us through physical and mental pathways (a bit like our magical cats) and symbolise divinity and the spiritual world.

- Houdini - the mysterious Harry Houdini was a 19th-century escape artist and magician. The name works like magic for mystical kitties, even if they can’t hold their breath as long as Houdini could.

- Tarot - a deck of tarot cards is used for fortune-telling and spiritual lessons. Let your Tabby Tarot Reader tell you your future with those entrancing green eyes…
- Zodiac - the 12 zodiac signs can be used to explain personality traits as well as predict the future. If you know your kitty’s birthday, why not name them after their zodiac sign?
