New owner membership plans: a guide for existing owners

Our new owner membership plans have arrived, and they’re here to help you get even more from your TrustedHousesitters membership. 

If you’re an existing owner member, you may have some questions about what this means for you and your current membership plan. So, here’s a guide with everything you need to know about TrustedHousesitters’ new owner membership plans...

What are the new membership plans and why have they changed?

After listening to your feedback, we’re excited to introduce new features and even more choice to our current membership offering. At the beginning of this year, we began testing our new owner membership plans with new owners signing up to TrustedHousesitters. This test included offering three different tiers of membership: Basic, Standard and Premium.

As well as offering more choice to members, introducing these new plans also meant that we were able to offer new features, such as sit cancellation insurance and free airport lounge passes. After a successful test period with select groups of new owner members, we’ve now rolled these new plans out to all new owner members signing up to the platform.

What’s the difference between Basic, Standard and Premium?

At just $129 per year, our Basic membership offers great value and is perfect for owner members looking for unlimited pet care and peace of mind for even less. And, for just a small sum more, on our Standard and Premium plans owners can enjoy even more features such as sit cancellation insurance, plus new tools to boost your listing in search results and to see who saved your listing. Check out the full list of features for each membership here.

These new plans are here to better your TrustedHousesitters experience, so rest assured no member will ever be at a disadvantage as a result of their membership level. With fellow member feedback and insights at its core, these new plans are designed to help you — our owners — get the absolute most from your membership. 

Where can I see the new plans? 

You can see a breakdown of the new owner membership plans (and their features) by visiting our plans page. 

What plan am I on? 

If you’re an existing owner member, nothing will have changed, and you’ll still be on your current plan, with full access to all of your current membership features. 

Can I stay on my existing plan? 

While this means we'll no longer be offering your current plan to new members, nothing is changing for our existing members. You’re welcome to stay on your current plan, and if you’re due to auto-renew, there's nothing you need to do. Unless you choose to upgrade when the option becomes available, you'll simply renew onto your current plan when your membership expires. 

If you have removed your auto-renewal, then please note your current plan will no longer be available when your membership expires. If you wish to stay on your current plan when your membership expires, we recommend re-enabling auto-renewal via your settings.

What about membership support?

You may have noticed that our Standard and Premium plans offer ‘dedicated member support’. This new feature is in addition to our current basic support and provides extra assistance to Standard and Premium members, including guided listing support and on-sit communication.

So don’t worry, whatever your plan, you’ll still have access to your friendly Membership Services team — the dedicated member support feature is simply an extension of this.
