The Happiest Pet on Earth: Supai the dog

We recently embarked on a mission to find the Happiest Pet on Earth, and after pawing through all your wonderful entries, the search is now over!

Congrats to Supai and her pet parent, Torey from the USA - the winners of our Happiest Pet on Earth contest!

A truly worthy winner - just look at that sweet, happy face! Read on to hear her entry - and to find out how Supai well and truly stole our judges' hearts…

Supai’s winning entry

“Supai's journey from wild Grand Canyon pup to adventurous companion embodies pure joy. Found as a timid puppy in the Grand Canyon 10 years ago, she's blossomed into an intrepid explorer.

Supai's paws have left prints across the country, from California's beaches to Montana's peaks. She greets each day with unrestrained excitement, whether we're hiking trails, carving ski slopes, or splashing in the surf.

Despite her wild origins, Supai has become the ultimate adventure partner, her wagging nub and bright eyes a constant reminder to find wonder in the world. With a decade of shared memories across diverse landscapes, Supai isn't just living her best life - she's teaching me how to live mine.”

Congrats to our runners-up!

Of course, picking our lucky winner wasn’t an easy task - our panel of pet-loving judges sure had their work cut out for them! Let’s give a huge round of app-paws to our three runners-up:

Mowgli, Germany

"Mowgli was about 7 weeks old when I found him stumbling around the neighborhood. I rang up every shelter in town - no one was looking for him - and I decided to take him home. From that day on, he only continued making people fall for him. He just has this undeniable charm and knows exactly how to use it!”

Sansa, Ireland

“Donkeys aren’t always the most facially expressive, but when they love you and are happy, you know it! Sansa and her sister are most happy when we have sitters as they get all the attention. They love being brushed and petted, and just want all the hugs they can get! We believe they are the happiest donkeys in Ireland, and many of our sitters agree!”

Fred, United Kingdom

“Therapy dog Fred brings joy to patients every week in the ICU and elderly care wards at our local hospital. His tail wags constantly and by all accounts he smiles! His happiness is a blessing for us all.”

Finally, some honorable mentions…

Your heartwarming stories touched our judges’ hearts so much, we thought it was only right to give a select few a special honorary mention.

Gunda, Germany

“Rescued by a chicken rescue organization after spending her early days as a laying hen in the egg industry, now, Gunda enjoys a beautiful, natural forever home where she is free to roam with other chickens, take dust baths, and discover the wonders of the outdoors - such as the dandelion leaves she’s curiously inspecting in the photo!”

Ziggy, United Kingdom

“We have had Ziggy and his sister living with us as house pets for almost two years and we wonder why pigs are not common pets, considering how easy and entertaining they are. They have stolen the hearts of all our visitors and pig sitters. We think the whole world needs to know what amazing creatures pigs are!”

That’s a wrap! Finally, a HUGE thanks to everyone who entered and got involved in our Season of Pet Happiness. Our judges truly loved reading all your heartwarming stories and seeing your happy pet pics - you’re all winners in our eyes!
